I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in November 2009. My urologist discussed several medical procedures that were available to me for the treatment of prostate cancer.One of the procedures was extraction of the prostate through robotic surgery. Based on my age and the location of the cancer, extraction of the prostate was recommended by my urologist. He referred me to Dr. David Ornstein.

During my initial appointment with Dr. Ornstein, he reviewed all of my lab results and concurred that I would be an excellent candidate for robotic surgery. Dr. Ornstein explained the surgical procedure involved and answered all of my questions. After talking with Dr. Ornstein at length I felt a sense of ease and relief. Dr. Ornstein’s caring demeanor and vast knowledge of robotic surgery made the decision of choosing the robotic surgery over radiation an easy decision.

After my surgery, Dr. Ornstein took extra time out of his schedule to call and check on me. His staff is made up of caring and professional individuals. I feel very blessed that Dr. Ornstein relocated to Southwest Florida and I am very appreciative of the care I have and continue to receive from him and his staff. Dr. Ornstein is an outstanding surgeon and individual that I would highly recommend to anyone in need of this intricate procedure.
